“Y/N, what do you want?” Yeo one asked you from across the table, you quickly looked up.
“Oh, sorry, I zoned out…” You apologized, “I’ll just have whatever your having.” You tell him. He smiled and nodded. Yeo one was your best friend, and you had known him for eight years. The two of you liked the same things, did the same things and had never been apart for more than a couple of days.
“Umm, excuse me” A girl spoke to you, interrupting your thoughts.
“Yes?” You asked and looked up at the tall girl standing in front of your table. She had large round glasses and was wearing your schools uniform.
“Well,” She said, looking down at her feet, “I think the two of you are the cutest couple in school.” You looked over at Yeo One and raised an eyebrow.
“Oh, I think you’re mistaken, me and Changgu aren’t dating.” You tell her.
Her head snaps up, “What? The two of you aren’t dating?” She asks, her voice higher than before. You shake your head and Yeo One just smiles. “Oh, I’m so sorry… She says and bows her head.
“No, it’s fine.” You tell her and smile. The girl bows again and quickly leaves, After she leaves, your meal comes, you and Yeo One eat and then you leave.
Yeo One decided to walk you home even though the two of you past his house a long time ago. When the two of you get to your house, he walks you to the door.
“Thank you for walking home.” You say.
“Hug?” Yeo one asks and stretches his arms out. You lean into him and wrap your arms around him. Yeo One was tall enough to rest his chin on the top of your head and you found that comforting. After a couple of seconds, you try to pull away but Yeo One won’t let you go.
“Umm, Changgu?” You ask.
“Can I just… Hold you for a second?” You could feel your face heat up as he pulled you in closer. Your bodies were pressed up against each others. He was so warm and strong, you wanted to stay like that forever. Your cheek was pressed up against his chest and you could hear his steady heartbeat. Before you knew it he pulled away.
“G-goodnight…” You stutter and quickly go inside.
“How was your date with Yeo One?” Your Mom asked from the living room, “In my opinion, he’s the best boyfriend that you’ve ever had.”
“Me and Yeo One aren’t dating.” You tell you Mom and go upstairs to your room.
Jealousy
You woke up at 7:15, took a shower and had breakfast. At 7:45 you left your house and sitting on your doorstep was Yeo One.
“Hey.” You said. He looked up at you and stood.
“Hey, I came to walk you to school.” he said, smiling.
“Okay, let’s go.” You said and started to walk. When the two of you were only a block away, you heard a deep voice shout.
“Hey!” Yeo One quickly looked up. It was Yuto Adachi. He was an exchange student from Japan. He was 6 feet, super smart, really hot, and he had a deep silky voice that always sent shivers down your spine.
“Hey, Yuto!” Yeo One yelled back and waved. Yuto waved back and sped off towards the school.
“Wow…” You whispered. Yuto was so hot.
“I didn’t know that Yuto lived in the same direction as you.” Yeo One said.
“Me neither.” You say.
You and Yeo One went on with your day as usual. You went to your first class together, met up at lunch and now you were waiting for him by the big tree outside of the school. After a couple of seconds, Yeo One comes out of the school.
“Hey,” Yeo One says “Are you ready?”
“Yep.” You say and the two of you start walking.
“Y/N!” Someone yelled at you. You quickly whipped your head around. It was Shinwon, the hot guy from your math class. Shinwon was pretty tall, and he was the smartest and hottest guy in your math class. He had dark hair and a smoldering gaze.
“Oh, hey, Shinwon, what’s up?” You asked. Shinwon smiled.
“So, umm, Y/N, I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me.” Shinwon said.
What? Shinwon wanted to go out with me? You thought to yourself. You looked over at Yeo One for help. He looked irritated, jaw clenched, ears red.
“Umm, I’m sorry, but no.” You turn Shinwon down.
“Oh, it’s okay.” Shinwon said quietly and walked away.
“Let’s go, Y/N.” Yeo One said and walked away. You trailed behind him quietly all the way home.
When you got home, Yeo One walked you to the door and said
“I won’t be able to pick you up tomorrow morning.” And then just left without saying or doing anything else.
Yuto Adachi
Because Yeo One wasn’t going to pick you up, you put your earbuds in and started to walk to school. You were only a block away from your house when you felt a large warm hand out your shoulder. When you turned around, you saw Yuto.
“Hey.” He said and smiled. You quickly pulled your earbuds out of your ears and turned off your music.
“Umm, hi..” You said awkwardly and looked up at Yuto. Your heart was pounding and your ears were burning.
“So, where’s your friend?” Yuto asked, raising and eyebrow.
“Changgu? Oh, he couldn’t pick me up today.” You tell him.
“I see…” Yuto says. “Then do you want to walk to school with me?”
“Umm, sure.” You say and the two of you start walking. You and Yuto talk all the way to school about yourselves and your interests. You find out that you and Yuto have a lot in common. When the two of you get to school, Yuto walks you to your locker.
“It was really nice talking to you, Y/N.” Yuto says and leans on the locker next to yours, not taking his eyes off you once.
“Thanks, I really liked talking to you.” You say and smile at him. When he smiled back your heart fluttered and your face turned red.
“So, now that we’re friends, I think we should exchange numbers.” Yuto said while pulling a black pen out of his bag. “Give me your arm.” Yuto said, and you followed his instructions. He took your arm and gently rolled up your sleeve. His large hand warm on your bare forearm. He slowly wrote his phone number on your arm with his name and a heart underneath it.
“Thanks…” You say and roll your sleeve back down.
“I’ll walk you to your first class.” Yuto said and grabbed your hand. When Yuto walked you to the door, everyone focused on the two of you, including Yeo One.
“I’ll see you later.” Yuto said and quickly left. You slowly walked to your usual seat beside Yeo One and sat down.
“Hey.” You say and turn in your seat to look at Yeo One.
“Why were you with him?” Yeo One asked you. His ears were bright red, and he had a pained expression on his face.
“Well,” You say, taking your pencil out of your bag. “Yuto was walking behind me and when he noticed that you weren’t with me, he came up to me and asked me why you weren’t with me, he offered to walk with me so I wouldn’t be lonely.” You explain. Yeo One looked down.
“Listen, Y/N, I’m sorry, I just couldn’t walk you home today, I will walk you home though, okay?” You looked over at him and nodded.
He’s waiting for you outside
You waited by the big tree for Yeo One and he came out almost right away.
“Hey, do you want to go and see a movie?” He asked you.
“Sure.” You say and the two of you start to walk to the movie theatre.
When the two of you got to the theatre, you bought the last two tickets and headed in. Because they were the last two tickets, the seats were not beside each other. One was by the door and the other one was in the front in the corner. Yeo One sits down in the one beside the door and takes his sweater off.
“Go sit in the one by the front.” Yeo One told you.
“Really?” You whine.
“I mean, if you wanted to sit on my lap, I wouldn’t be opposed.” He smirks. And with that, you quickly walked away. The seat was in the literal corner and you had to duck your head to get to your spot. When you sat down, you got a text from Yeo One.
Don’t die up there.
You rolled your eyes and put the phone back in your pocket.
“Y/N?” A deep familiar voice says. In the seat beside you was Yuto.
“Hey.” You say, surprised to see him.
“Are you all alone?” Yuto asked.
“No, me and Changgu bought the last two tickets, and they weren’t together, so here I am….” You explain.
“Oh…” Yuto says.
“So, what’s up?” You ask him, trying to make conversation before the movie starts.
You and Yuto end up talking through the whole entire movie. Leaning in towards each other, whispering in each others ears. When the movie was over, Yuto walked you back to Yeo One,
“Hey.” You say the Yeo One. Yeo One looked pretty shocked when he saw you with Yuto.
“Hey, Yeo One,” Yuto said. “I can walk Y/N home, we live in the same direction.”
“No.” Yeo One said, grabbed your wrist and stormed out.
Yeo One walked quickly and quietly, not letting go of you. When you were about five blocks away from the theatre and in the opposite direction of your house, Yeo One finally stopped.
“Why are you always flirting with Yuto?” Yeo One asked you.
“What?”
“Why are you always flirting with him? You do know that every single female in our school likes him, right?” He asked you, raising his voice.
“What’s wrong with you?” You asked him, starting to get angry.
“Do you like him or something?” He asked you.
“What the hell is wrong with you? You’ve been so moody lately.” You ask him.
“I don’t know, maybe it’s the fact that you can’t stop flirting with him for even a second to pay attention to anyone else?” He yelled. You shook your head and stormed off, leaving him alone.
You slowly walked home by yourself angry and cold because you only wore a pair of skinny jeans and a thin long sleeved shirt. When you got home, you took a shower and changed into a pair of grey sweatpants and a tight black shirt. As soon as you lay down in bed, you hear your mom call you.
“Y/N!” You slowly walked down the stairs.
“Yes, Mom?” You asked.
“You have a guest, he’s waiting for you outside.” Your Mom told you. You went to the door and slowly opened it.
“Y/N, I’m sorry, I didn’t know that he would react that way.” He says.
“It’s fine.” You tell him. “Changgu has just been a little moody lately.”
“Hey, Y/N?” He says.
“Yeah?”
“I think… I think Yeo One is in love with you.” He said quietly, kicking a rock.
“What?” You asked, shocked.
“Yeo One is in love with you.” He said and when you didn’t reply, he said “Okay, well, I’m just going to go, let that sink in, because you’re obviously very shocked. So, yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow.” And then he left. You slowly opened the door, walked up the stairs, brushed your teeth and lay down in bed.
Yeo One likes me? You thought to yourself. You lay in bed for a long time, thinking, unable to sleep. You finally fell asleep around 1.
When you left in the morning, you were shocked when you saw Yeo One sitting on your doorstep. When he noticed you, he stood up and started to apologize, speaking quickly.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry, I was just so jea-” You stepped forward and place your lips on his without thinking. At first Yeo One was tense but after a couple of seconds, he relaxed and started to kiss you back. His lips were warm and soft against yours. When the two of you pulled away, his complexion was flushed and his pupils were dilated.
“Y/N?” Yeo One asked, his voice deeper and breathier than usual.
“Yes?” You replied.
“Did you just kiss me?” He raised an eyebrow.
“Yes.” You said looking up at him.
Yeo One looked down at you and smirked. “Hmm.”
“What?” You asked.
He leaned down and whispered in your ear.“Did you know that I’m in love with you?”
“Actually, yes I did.” You tell him.
“Oh, I see… So, do you love me too?” He asked.
“Yes.”
“Interesting… So, I guess, maybe we should go out now?” Yeo One suggested.
“Maybe.” You say and smile.
“I mean, we were practically dating before.” He says.
“Come on, let’s go.” You grab his hand and the two of you walk to school.
Yuto Ending
Yuto was standing on your doorstep.
“Hey…” You say quietly.
“Y/N, I’m sorry, I didn’t know that he would react that way.” He says.
“It’s fine.” You tell him. “Changgu has just been a little moody lately.”
“Oh, well, I just came to apologize, I hope Yeo One gets over whatever he’s hung up on right now.” Yuto starts to walk away. Before he reaches the sidewalk, he turns back towards you. He slowly walks up to you. When he gets really close, he leans in and whispers in your ear.
“I like you.”
“What?” You ask and Yuto starts to walk away again.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, Y/N.”
“Yuto, come back.” You say and he swiftly turns around.
“What?” He starts to walk back towards you. “Do you like me too?” He was now close enough to see the flush that spread across your face. He smirked.
“Okay, then will you go out with me?” Yuto slowly got closer to you. You stood on your toes and leaned into him.

not every prince is charming. in fact, hardly any ever are. that fairytale man who comes in and slays the dragon simply doesn’t exist. at least nowhere near me. every prince i’ve met is either egotistical, rude, entitled, or a horrible leader. and in the case of the prince of soshia, they were all four. the first time i met him the dear prince had bragged about how many enemies he’d slain, yelled at one of my staff, and tried to kiss me without consent. as i had him thrown from my palace steps, he vowed to exact his revenge on me. i haven’t seen him since that day, but my parents have tried to set me up with several more princes from surrounding regions. all of which ended unsuccessfully, some much worse than others, but there were some who i just couldn’t connect with.
